OVGC and the Eco Center Make Headlines!
On Saturday December 6th, Kimbery Rivers from the Ojai Valley News took part in one of the Ojai Valley Green Coalition's Site Tours of the City Hall property, the proposed site for a community Eco Center.
Here are some excerpts from Kimberly's article...
Ojai Valley Green Coalition's Board President Kathy Nolan and Board Secretary Caryn Bosson led members, supporters and partners on the tour to describe the vision... for the nonprofit organization's rehabilitation and design of the riparian, oak woodland and sloping hills on the city's historic property.
The group taking the tour on Dec. 6 was shown a "concept plan" that will tentatively go before the Ojai City Planning Commission in January, with a finalized plan going before the Ojai City Council in May. The schedule for this first phase is governed by a contract between the city and OVGC.

"There was once the dream of a 'Climate Park.' Well, this will really be one, a gathering place for the community to experience and appreciate wild nature right downtown, walk through educational gardens, and have a chance for hands-on learning on how we live more sustainably and resiliently," Bosson told the OVN.
