Joan Roberts' legacy lives on

Roberts' bequest a priceless gift

The Ojai Valley lost a passionate advocate for the environment in 2022. Until her passing, Joan Roberts had been an active member of the Ojai Valley Green Coalition, as well as numerous other local organizations. She treasured the protectors of Ojai's beauty and open space, education and culture.

Joan's generous commitment continued after her death, when she left a bequest to the Ojai Valley Green Coalition, among other groups. Thanks to Joan Roberts' legacy, the OVGC is again serving as a leader in bringing the community together for a more resilient and regenerative future. Our work today would not be possible if not for her far-sighted generosity. She gifted us a monetary foundation for our next phase, and we are profoundly grateful.

It's true that one person can make a real difference. We warmly thank Joan Roberts for leaving a gift of hope and action for a greener and brighter future.
