Ventura Land Trust
Ventura Land Trust (VLT) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to protecting the natural beauty and ecological integrity of Ventura and the surrounding region. We believe that preserving open space and providing responsible public access enriches our local economy, enhances quality of life, and supports community well-being.

Through conservation science and land stewardship, VLT restores native plant and wildlife habitats, reduces river pollution, and safeguards open spaces for future generations. Our outdoor education programs—including Ventura Wild, school-based programs, and field trips—help connect people of all ages to the natural world. With community outreach efforts such as guided hikes, public events, and our environmental speaker series, we bring people together in celebration and care of the land.

Ventura Wild
Ventura Wild is the outdoor education initiative of Ventura Land Trust. Our programs inspire children and families to develop deep connections with nature through exploration, play, and hands-on learning. By nurturing awareness, skills, and stewardship, Ventura Wild helps young people grow into confident leaders and caretakers of the natural world.

Programs are offered in Ventura and Ojai for ages 2–13. Scholarships are available, and charter school funds are accepted.
