Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive management of ORC’s volunteer program. This role oversees the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, screening, placement, onboarding, training coordination, documentation, scheduling support, communication, retention, and recognition. The Volunteer Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between volunteers and staff, ensuring volunteers are effectively integrated into ORC’s operations while maintaining clear expectations, strong communication, and compliance with organizational policies. This position also provides administrative support for ORC’s internship and externship programs, Scientific Advisory Group, and Youth Board. This is a highly organized, people-centered role suited to a proactive professional who enjoys building systems, supporting teams, and fostering a positive, inclusive volunteer culture in a mission-driven environment.
