Community Conversations: Books, Lectures, and Films

The Green Coalition seeks to improve the environmental health, safety, and quality of life in the Ojai Valley. We use a variety of methodologies to encourage community-level conversations about climate change, conservation, water usage, housing, and other vital issues impacting our valley and our way of life. To do so, we host events such as lectures, book clubs, film screenings, and social gatherings that encourage collaboration and grassroots problem solving. We also partner with local government to support state-mandated climate goals

Green Drinks: Monthly Lectures

GREEN DRINKS is a free and informal monthly gathering open to all. Each month we feature a different speaker, lecturing on a environmental topic that's important to our community.

Join us each month—every first Thursday from 5:30 to 7pm—at Farmer and the Cook for a short presentation by one of our green partners on topics that matter most to our environmental community. Stay and connect with local green people—friends, neighbors, colleagues, and community leaders. Together, we can connect, learn, and combat the challenges facing our valley, such as food insecurity, deforestation, fire, air pollution, climate change, and more.
