Presenting Ojai’s Newest Park: Our First Presentation to Ojai City Council
The effort to revitalize the Ojai City Hall campus into a natural park for education and enjoyment by our whole community is one of the Ojai Valley Green Coalition’s biggest projects in 2025. We recently had the opportunity to update the community and city leadership on our progress. Thank you to everyone who attended the special August 12 presentation to Ojai City Council. If you weren’t able to make it, the presentation can be streamed online here—(starts at 8:53 minutes).

Board president and landscape architect Kathy Nolan presented two schematic designs (options A and B), discussed the potential use areas and vegetation removal plans, and introduced topics where we are seeking community feedback to move forward. These include the location and size of the workshop building, feasibility of renovating the carriage house, possible tank storage for stormwater capture, and repurposing site materials. Consider filling out our survey here to provide your comments and suggestions.
