Join Brad Lancaster on Thursday, August 28, at 7pm, Chaparral Auditorium, as he shares his experiences traveling the world learning about harvesting rainwater---with simple landforms and earthworks---in places like India, Peru, Mexico, Africa and the United States, where impoverished landscapes are turned into oases of life.

Thursday September 25- Ojai Valley Green Coalition Transportation committee presents the PBS Nova series
"Car of the Future" - 7pm at the Chaparral Auditorium, 414 E. Ojai Ave. Projections suggest that by 2050 there will be two billion vehicles on the world's roads, two and a half times as many as there are today. The "Car Talk" duo, brothers Tom and Ray Magliozzi, hit the road in search of the car of the future in this 6 part series. Candidates for the two open positions on the Ojai City Council will face off in a forum presented by the Ojai Valley Green Coalition on Oct 27th, just a few days before the election in November. Unlike other candidates’ forums, this forum will focus on environmental issues specific to the Ojai Valley.

Jon Cotham, Environmental Inspector, Bau-Biologist, BBEI, and Licensed General Building Contractor will explore what it means to utilize sustainable, eco-friendly, and non-toxic building practices and materials in the construction of your home.

The Ojai Valley Green Coalition is proud to announce our ongoing monthly presentations. The meetings will all be on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. We hope our neighbors will attend these informational presentations about how we can each work toward our mission of creating a model green and sustainable community. Please join us to learn and meet others in the valley who are working toward greening Ojai. All of these programs will be presented at the Chaparral High School Auditorium, 414 E.
